You have probably realized by now that Photoshop is difficult for new users. All those menus, keyboard shortcuts, and commands can be tough to comprehend. When you do learn all these things they can really help you create spectacular results, but the learning stage can be a bit tough.
The good news is that the internet is your friend and you will be able to find information about anything you want to know about Photoshop. You will find many pictures on PSDTUTS; in fact almost all the instructions are given in images and, the Photoshop instructions are very detailed. A great help is the fact that there are comments attached to the tutorials; this means that any confusion can be quickly solved. These tutorials are a bit long, because they pay so much attention to each detail. They are well worth watching though, because they really teach you useful Photoshop techniques.

Good-Tutorials don’t really offer anything that different than what you might find elsewhere. It does offer a more general guide about how to use Photoshop instead of telling you how to do specific techniques. The tutorials on this web-site are simple, but more generalised than elsewhere.
Tutorial 9

The great thing about Tutorial9 is that there are so many different tutorials about Photoshop. These tutorials follow a format of taking you step by step through all the instructions. All of these instructions are accompanied by pictures of what you need to do and how you do it. As well as the text instructions there is also a short video showing you what to do. These videos don’t have a narrator, but you don’t need one because you already have the instructions. This really is a great resource for anyone wanting to master Photoshop.
Photoshop lady

The The Photoshop Lady website is a collection of tutorials looking at photography and Photoshop. The tutorials are graded by how advanced they are and they cover a wide range of topics. You will find tutorials on how to do some basic Photoshop functions as well as some extremely complex ones. This website probably has the easiest to follow tutorials around, but the database isn’t that large. You can see the things that people liked and disliked about different tutorial through the ratings they give and the comments they make.
You suck at Photoshop

You Suck at Photoshop is a series of video tutorials created by Donnie Hoyle. As well as being very informative these are also fun to watch. This series will show you how to do play around with your favourite pictures and teach you how to do simple things, as well as use some of the Photoshop tools. The good thing about this website is that it really shows you how far you will need to go if you want to be good at Photoshop.
PSHero

If you want to visit of the most practical Photoshop sites there is then visit PSHero. This site has probably the largest collection of tutorials that you are actually going to need. PSHero will teach you how to do things like create logos and design a website. You will also be able to check out some more advanced stuff. This website produces easy to follow tutorials aimed at the less experienced person.
Luxa

Luxa is a combination of design articles, videos, and tutorials. It claims to be a social learning site for Photoshop artists. If you are a user you can suggest topics and wait for the video and tutorial to be posted. To get the best for Luxa you will need to be a member; there are benefits for those who choose this. The site also has a massive collection of Photoshop brushes that will allow you to make stunning effects. There is also a voting system so that you can make the best tutorials more noticeable.
Photoshop contest

This Photoshop Contest website not only is a meeting point for Photoshop experts, but it also teaches you how to go about turning yourself into one. You will be able to find a large collection of useful tutorials and videos as well as contests for those who are producing good work. A lot of the tutorials are basic, but the makers of the content spend a lot of time on the site and are able to offer great advice and tips.
PSDTop

PSDTop brings together many of the best Photoshop tutorials. It breaks the tutorials down into useful categories such a digital art and drawing. If you want to become expert in a particular skill in Photoshop then this is a great resource. Unfortunately, a few of the tutorials are not so good, but the vast majority of them are useful.
Hopefully the photoshop websites mentioned above will have you well on your way to doing things that you didn’t even know were possible previously. More and more excellent Photoshop websites are appearing all the time, so there is sure to be a lot more to talk about in the future.
